You can make a difference in the lives of animals by donating your time to TEARS: a pro-life, non-profit organisation that rescues, rehabilitates, re-unites and re-homes lost, abandoned, abused and neglected animals. Without your help, the employed staff of TEARS would never manage to achieve their mission, which is to strive to uplift the lives of companion animals in underprivileged communities by providing free sterilisations, primary health care, veterinary treatment and food, as well as humane education to pet owners.

Volunteers are always needed to assist with all manner of animal related tasks. Here are a few ways in which to become involved: walking and socialising dogs; socialising cats; grooming cats; bathing and grooming dogs; feeding and weighing puppies; feeding and weighing kittens; assisting at events; helping with gardening and building maintenance; assist the mobile clinic van (circumstances allowing); assist in the clinic (circumstances allowing); help in the office.

Our volunteer programme involves:

  • Dog enrichment and in kennel dog training on a Monday
  • Puppy training on a Tuesday
  • Dog walking and dog outings on a Wednesday
  • Kitty cuddling (cat socializing) on a Thursday
  • Dog walking and dog outings on a Friday
  • Kennel and cattery maintenance and gardening on a Saturday
  • Dog outings on a Sunday

We would love to have your help with all of this, especially dog walking and welfare and therapy and agility.
