Volunteer Africa

News

As you are probably aware, South Africa is facing a major shortage of accommodation for the 2010 World Cup. Housing options are limited and hotels and hostels are nearly full. One of the organisations listed on our site would like to offer cheap housing to World Cup travellers interested in gaining hands-on primate care experience during their time in South Africa. They will provide full board and meals for £25 per day at their sanctuary. Although all of their volunteers are expected to contribute to the daily routine of the monkeys and upkeep of the sanctuary, they will work around the schedule of those attending or wishing to watch World Cup games. This is an excellent opportunity for World Cup travellers seeking a housing option and volunteer experience. Please refer to project ID 144.

All of our project descriptions have been updated to ensure you have the latest information (our project database is bang up to date). We have also added some new volunteer opportunities to the project database.
